The family of cactus consists of a variety of beautiful succulent plants. While some grow as tall as 50 ft, others are cute and just a few inches in height. These mini cacti are suitable to be grown in small pots. Typically, these plants produce bright flowers in different colours, which also mould into different shapes. With proper care and already potted environments, these can grow indoors and add colour to your room. These, however, do require at least four hours of sunlight every day to produce the colourful flowers – keep them against a window that faces east or the south and within 4 feet of the ledge. To ensure even sunlight exposure, rotate them in direct sunlight intermittently so that the entire plant basks in the rays of the sun.
Nevertheless, you must keep checking for any changes in colour if the plant receives too much sunlight. Also, you must slowly move the plant from a higher lit area to a lower lit area. While they do not need as much water as other plant varieties, mini-cacti must possess well-drained soil at all times. Therefore, a watering schedule is required, along with careful observation. If the top ½ inch of the soil feels dry, add some water to soak it.
